When I released the album Poetic Collage, I sent to the world ten unique moments, different among each other. Songs to cry and dance to, to feel love, to revolt, affirm and surprise yourself. I could have picked a better name, but it was really a poetic collage of intense sentiments. Some of the tracks got more attention than others, which is natural, but one song that was unanimous among everybody (and when I mean everybody, I do mean everybody) was the song Agenda (Planner, in English).
Upon realizing this I felt a “philosophical” emotion, because this goes to show we still dream of unlikely spaces, with evasion, with a subtle escape.
You must be wondering, what is this song about, after all?
It is quite simple and I bet you’ve been through something similar: who never got up one day, looked at their planner and said: “Not today!!!” So, I pursued this thought in my composition.
“I jumped out of bed, looked at my planner and flung it away, into the blue
The obligations turned into paper planes, and it came to me: this day is mine
The planes flew far away, and it came to me: this day is all mine”
This part is cool, but to me, the power of these lyrics is in the end, and I think that’s why everybody likes it so much: since we sent our obligations to hell, there’s bound to happen something absolutely amazing, incredible, fantastic, right? Well, I chose a different path to end this song.
“Then nothing special happened and this nothing made me happy, so happy…”
To me, that’s the moment that really touches who listens to Agenda, the possibility of nothing turning into everything, of us feeling happy because so. It sounds simple and naïve. But I believe the great Zen masters would agree with me.

Agenda
Quando as obrigações viram aviões
Ao lançar o álbum Poetic Collage, joguei para o mundo dez momentos únicos, diferentes uns dos outros. Canções para chorar, dançar, amar, revoltar, afirmar, surpreender. O nome não poderia ter sido melhor, foi mesmo uma colagem poética de sentimentos intensos. Algumas faixas se destacaram mais do que outras, o que é natural; mas uma delas teve unanimidade: todo mundo (e quando eu digo todo mundo é todo mundo mesmo) curtiu muito a música Agenda.
Perceber isso me deu uma emoção “filosófica", porque mostra que ainda sonhamos com espaços improváveis, com evasão, com fuga sutil.
Você deve estar se perguntando: mas do que essa música fala, afinal?
É bem simples e aposto que você já passou por isso: Quem nunca acordou um dia, olhou para agenda e disse: “Hoje, não!!!" Então, na minha composição eu fui até o fim desse pensamento.
“Pulei da cama, olhei pra ela, joguei a agenda pela janela no azul As obrigações viraram aviões, e eu pensei: o dia é totalmente meu Os aviões voaram para bem longe e eu pensei: o dia é todo meu”
Essa parte é legal, mas para mim a força dessa letra está no fim e acho que é por isso que todo mundo gosta: já que a gente mandou tudo para o inferno, será que tem que acontecer algo absolutamente sensacional, incrível, fantástico!? Eu escolhi o caminho inverso para terminar a música.
“Depois nada especial aconteceu e esse nada me deixou feliz da vida”...
Acho que esse é o momento que toca mesmo quem ouve Agenda, essa possibilidade do nada virar tudo, de nos sentirmos felizes porque sim. Parece um pensamento simplista ou ingênuo. Mas acho que os grandes mestres do Zen concordam comigo.
